13. Checks you can run

Two scripts in your copy check your setup. Neither changes anything.

  • .familiar/scripts/doctor.py checks the document toolchain (§9.5).
  • .familiar/scripts/project_check.py checks the project’s health. Check-in runs it for you.

Before each release, the maintainer runs a separate set of checks against this manual and the shipped files. Those checks are not part of the download. They cover the versions in the Baseline line, the counts and names in this manual, and the skill contracts. They do not check the prose. An explanation can become wrong while every count stays right.
